More about Pass Plus

10years teaching people in Chorley to drive.

I've spent a decade in the passenger seat, helping all sorts of people get their licence. I run Chorley Driving Lessons on my own, so the person you talk to when you book is the person who teaches you every lesson.

  • Fully qualifiedYou're learning with a fully qualified instructor who has been teaching for ten years.
  • Nervous learners welcomeLessons are friendly and relaxed. If you're anxious, we go at a pace that feels right and talk things through as we go.
  • Evenings and weekendsWorking or at college all day? I offer evening and weekend appointments.
  • Local and independentI'm a Chorley instructor, not part of a national franchise. You deal with me from your first message onwards.

Your first driving lesson

Most people feel a few nerves before lesson one. That's completely normal. Here's roughly how things go, so you know what's coming.

How to get in touch

  1. Get in touch

Send me a message and tell me a little about you and the days and times that suit, including evenings and weekends.

  2. Tell me where you're starting

Whether you've never driven or had lessons before, let me know, along with anything that worries you.

  3. Learn the controls

First lessons usually start somewhere quiet, getting comfortable with the car, the pedals and moving off.

  4. Build up steadily

Each lesson adds a little more. You move on when you feel ready, all the way to test day.

Passing is the start, not the finish.

Plenty of new drivers feel unsure on fast roads or in conditions they never met as a learner. A few more hours with an instructor can make a real difference to how confident you feel.

Refresher Lessons

Get back behind the wheel after a break, at a pace that suits you.

Where I teach

Lessons cover the roads you'll actually drive on, from quiet estates for your first go at moving off to the busier junctions and roundabouts you'll meet on test day.

Questions learners ask

Something else on your mind? Send me a message and I'll answer it.

How much are driving lessons in Chorley?

Lessons are £43 an hour. If you'd like to save a little, you can pay for a block of 10 hours up front for £410, which works out at £41 an hour.

I'm really nervous about driving. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Nervous learners are very welcome. Lessons are friendly and relaxed, we go at your pace, and I'll explain each thing before we try it.

Can I have lessons in the evening or at weekends?

Yes. I offer evening and weekend appointments, so you can learn around work, college or family.

Is a crash course right for me?

A crash course suits people who want to learn in a shorter time, perhaps with a deadline or a free stretch of weeks. How quickly you get to your test depends on your experience and on test availability, so tell me where you're starting from and I'll talk you through what's realistic.

I passed years ago but haven't driven since. Can you help?

Yes. Refresher lessons are made for this. We start wherever you feel comfortable and build your confidence back up on local roads, with no pressure.

How do I book?

Send me a message with the lesson you're interested in and the days and times you're free, and I'll get back to you to arrange your first lesson.
